Empty Heaven

 

From my eyes to my fingertips

The numbness grows

How long have I been like this

Heaven only knows

The angels from above

Weep for me right now

My heart has ran out of love

Please don’t ask me how

But I feel so empty within

Life has broke me in two

My eyes are the color of sin

I am a standing here without you

They say you exist always there

But I have yet to feel your embrace

They say you will always care

But I have yet to see your face

I need you more than ever

But instead I am lost in the darkness

Will this go on forever

Me drowning in this sadness

Now the rain has begun to fall

Mixing in with my tears

You have yet to answer my call

To take away these fears

Maybe one day you will appear

Until that day finally arrives

Know I will try my best and survive

God I wish you were here
