Shattered thoughts Shattered mind

Follows me all the time

You’ve been gone

Feels like forever

Then one night I shut my eyes

Open them to an old memory

A memory of my childhood home

But I am not alone

You appear to me

But unlike before

Before your demise

I can’t recognize you anymore

Decaying flesh hangs from your face

I wish this nightmare would end

Why are you haunting me

Someone save me from this place

I want to leave this dream realm

Awaken and take me away

I turn my face

Eyes flicker from the image of you

This is not what I want to remember

Instead I replace them with memories

From before when we were together

Not this figure of a man

A living shadow of horror

My heart sinks to the floor

You walk in my direction

Moving in three different speeds

As it is my eyes still can’t believe

This is what you want me to see

You finally stop in front of me

Wave your right arm

As if you pushing away this fear

Through this nightmare

No matter how scary you appear

I still show happiness

For you are here with me

So many days have passed by

Since we last said goodbye

But through it all

I never did let you go

As my fear finds its escape

I fall into your arms

Erasing all of the fear

Through this nightmare
