Thirty pieces of coin
For the life of a man
Thirty pieces of an empty soul
To give a man his fate
To decide what he deserves
Against his will
Thirty coins are the influence
They will be forgotten
Unlike this man the betrayer
They will be spent and lost
Returned and forgotten
Many tears will follow
From the coin bearer
The blind and greedy betrayer
To the man whose fate has been sealed
Coins mean more than him
They mean more than his actions
In the eyes of the betrayer
Thirty coins are all he needs
For not once did he ever believe
In the man he followed
Who taught him about love and forgiveness
Coins are the seeds of evil
Plant them and watch the tree grow
Greed will thicken in its branches
Thirty pieces thirty coin
To turn one man into a sinner
And to turn another into a piece of heaven
